Arles City Hall, acoustics in a listed building

Realization : Technical services from Arles & SOCAS

Microsorber® film sheets were stretched like transparent sails across the ceiling. Light and almost imperceptible, they leave intact the beauty of the stone and the grandeur of the meeting room of the Arles Town Hall, a listed heritage site. A stunning rendering but above all an acoustic comfort for the elected representatives who are lucky enough to work in this magnificent place.

Historical information: The numbers that you see around the room date back to Roman times: it was a question of giving a number to the biggest farmer in the region, to put a bag under the number so that everyone could come and pay the tax.
