CC CompuNet, then still the German subsidiary of IT infrastructure services provider Computacenter, opened its new headquarters in Ratingen's Businesspark in November 2004. The five-storey, 7,000 square metre office complex houses large offices for over 900 IT specialists, conference and training rooms, as well as workshops and storage areas.
Management wanted the space solutions to be as modern as the technologies used, so that employees could benefit from an optimal working environment. Specifically, the challenge was to optimize acoustics in large offices with thermoactive ceilings, where up to 40 employees work.
Büro konzepte" took on the task using MICROSORBER® films: 1 x 1 m in size, they were attached to the ceiling in a double layer using visible spacers and balancers. Arranged in square or rectangular form, they blend elegantly with the elements defining the space.
MICROSORBER® films are used where they guarantee balanced acoustics: partition panels, meeting rooms and other specific areas.
