At the Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk in Leipzig, with its imposing glass roof, innovative measures were taken to improve acoustics without compromising architectural aesthetics. The Microsorber® solution was strategically applied in the glass roof, effectively reducing echoes and reverberation, while letting in natural light.
To further optimize the acoustics of the open-plan spaces, the owner also installed movable acoustic partitions. These partitions not only contribute to better sound comfort between users of these spaces, but also preserve the visual fluidity of the environment.
In addition, acoustic blinds were installed on certain vertical glass surfaces. These blinds offer flexibility in the management of acoustics and light, enabling the creation of more comfortable and visually distinct zones.
